Libya Reconstruction & Investment Forum

Event Date : Thursday, 26th Jan 2017

Summary

08.00 - 19.00 hrs

The Libyan British Business Council, [LBBC], the Middle East Association [MEA] and DMA are delighted to organise the Libya Reconstruction & Investment Forum on 26th January 2017 on behalf of The Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA).

The Forum is the first major international event in London to focus on the immense potential, and urgent need, for reconstruction and investment in Libya since the formation of the GNA. It will cover a range of potential opportunities in Libya, with a particular focus on infrastructure, energy, healthcare and the financial sector. Bringing together UK and international investors and businesses, as well as senior government representatives from both countries, the forum will also cover pressing issues around rebuilding Libya’s civil society and welfare systems.

The Forum will match international investors and businesses with opportunities in Libya and discuss potential co-investment opportunities with the private sector and the GNA on key infrastructure and business projects. Plenary sessions, outlining Libya’s reconstruction and investment priorities, will be complemented by a series of breakout sessions on key sectors and on efforts to strengthen governance, enhance security and revitalise civil society and address current payment issues  as critical components of Libya’s reconstruction agenda.
