LBBC Council Lunch - Guest speaker Dr Faisel Gergab

The LBBC is delighted to announce that Dr Faisel Gergab, Chairman of the Board of the Libyan Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Holding Company (LPTIC) and Board Member of the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) has agreed to speak to members at our next Council Lunch on the 3 April at 12.30 pm

Dr Gergab is on the Board of the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA). He worked for Shell before 2011 when he joined the revolution against Col Qadhafi and took on the role of Programme Manager for the Libya Stabilisation Team. He left Shell in 2013 to take over his post at the helm of LPTIC (http://lptic.ly/en/). As Chairman, he leads LPTIC’s mission to establish itself as a modern and diversified telecoms, IT and postal services provider aiming to support the development of a knowledge based economy. LPTIC owns investments outside Libya, particularly in Africa, as well as inside where its major holdings include the mobile operators Libyana and Al-Madar, Libya Telecom and Technology (LTT), Aljeel, International Telecommunications Company, Hatef Libya and the real estate investment company Alboniya. Dr Gergab is no stranger to the UK, having obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering at Oxford Brooks University and his PhD in Asset Integrity from the University of Surrey
