We are pleased to announce our speaker at the LBBC Council Lunch will be Dr. Ahmed Ali Attiga, Chief Executive Officer, Apicorp . A Libyan national, he will speak on ‘Prospects for the Libyan Economy and Investment’.
Dr. Attiga’s career and experience span over 25 years in investment management, development finance, private equity, research and teaching. Before joining Apicorp (http://www.apicorp.org/), he was Regional Head of Operations, MENA, for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group and the largest global development Institution focused on private sector in emerging markets. He was responsible for investment and advisory services activities in the Middle East, overseeing an investment portfolio of over US$2.7 billion and an advisory program of about US$200 million. He now heads Apicorp whose assets total $6 billion.
