On behalf of all members of the Libyan British Business Council, I warmly welcome the appointment of Sir Henry Bellingham MP as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Libya.

A highly experienced Parliamentarian, Sir Henry has deep knowledge of Africa and the Middle East, including over two years as Minister for Africa in David Cameron’s Government (2010-12).

It is good news for British/Libyan trade and investment that Sir Henry will now dedicate time and effort to strengthening our business relations, reporting on progress directly to the Prime Minister. Sir Henry will be our honoured guest at the annual LBBC lunch in the House of Lords on 5 July.
