The Libyan office of the World Health Organization (WHO), said a high-level consultative meeting was held from May 13 to 14 in the presence of the Libyan Minister for Health, Omar Bashir, and representatives of the World Health OrganizationWorld Health Organization.
The meeting was aimed at exchanging views on the ongoing crisis in regards to the supply of medicines and medical equipment, which has led to a severe medical shortage in Libya.
The WHO pointed out that the meeting brought together representatives of various branches of the organization with health officials in Libya for the first time to improve the medicines supply.
